Does A Quiet Place 2 have a post-credits scene?

A Quiet Place: Part II was one of the first cinematic casualties of the Covid pandemic – it even managed to have a worldwide premiere last March before its release was ultimately delayed – but it’s finally here in cinemas worldwide.

The Quiet Place sequel is out now in US cinemas, though won’t arrive on UK screens until 4 June, with some preview screenings a little earlier.

If you’re not comfortable heading to a cinema just yet then it’s been confirmed will hit US streaming service Paramount+ 45 days after its debut – so mid-July – but we don’t yet know which UK streaming service might nab the movie, or when. If all else fails, it is at least possible to watch Paramount+ from the UK with a VPN.

Wherever you choose to watch, you’re likely to wonder if there’s any reason to stay in your seat – or sofa – once the movie has ended. Without any spoilers, here’s what you need to know.

Does A Quiet Place 2 have a post-credit scene?

Simply put, nope. As soon as the credits roll you’re free to leave, because that is that. There’s no extra scene, and not even a fancy credit sequence or subtle sequel tease.

Will there be a Quiet Place 3?

Just because there’s no post-credit teaser doesn’t mean that there won’t be another sequel – though we also don’t know if there will be.

A third film hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but after what a huge hit the original was we’d be surprised if the studio wasn’t interested in rounding it out to a trilogy.

Speaking to Collider, star Emily Blunt said that writer/director John Krasinski – also her husband, as it happens – has ideas for sequels already.

“He has a whole arc of ideas that could work. I think he just wanted to see how people responded to this one before he fully engaged his brain on the third one. But he has a couple of great ideas.”

So there you have it. There’s no sign that A Quiet Place: Part III is officially in the works, but if this latest movie does well – at least by this year’s odd box office standards – then a third film seems likely.
