If you told someone in 2010 that someone could become a millionaire by putting videos on the internet, they would’ve laughed in your face. Flash forward a decade and YouTube’s most famous creators are the world’s newest millionaires. Children everywhere have ditched their dreams of becoming an astronaut or a doctor for this new lucrative occupation. Who wouldn"t want to live the life of brand deals, beach vacations, free merchandise, and fawning fans?

The people behind these channels have made YouTube their full-time job and it’s really paid off. For some, it takes years of dedication to gain the first 100,000 while others rocket to stardom in a matter of months. From parodies to gaming to comedy skits, Youtubers make up a diverse community with a smorgasbord of entertaining content to consume on a daily basis. 

No wonder they’re so rich! Here are 31 of Youtube’s richest creators. Do you know who your kids are watching?

PewDiePie - $40 Million
PewDiePie - $40 Million

Felix Kjellberg, better known by his YouTube handle “PewDiePie," brought home millions since his debut video in 2010. Known for his loud-mouthed voiceovers of video games, Reddit commentary videos, and weekly meme reviews, his 109 million-strong “Bro Army” continues to grow to keep his spot at the top.

When it comes to money, this London-based YouTuber would rather be known for his charitable fundraisers: in 2014, Kjellberg raised $1 million in various donations for Save the Children, Charity: Water, St. Jude, and the World Wildlife Fund.

You can’t mention the beauty community without also mentioning James Charles. This makeup star blew up seemingly overnight and makes around millions every year. His main YouTube channel has over 25 million subscribers, a number that’s only growing.

Mr. Beast - $24 Million

Mr. Beast was well known on Twitch for donating large sums of money to streamers, but he’s also famous for being one of the highest-paid YouTube stars out there. Most of his income comes from companies sponsoring his videos and ad revenue, which helps supply his gargantuan humanitarian efforts such as the #TeamTrees campaign that raised over $20 million to plant 20 million trees.

Like Nastya - $18.5 Million

Move over Ryan’s World! One of the other high-paid YouTubers is 7 year-old Anastasia Radzinskaya. This Russian creator has made a whopping $18.5 million! She has over 69 million subscribers, and her videos mostly depict daily life and playing with toys.
